Grades 7 & 8 – Confirmation

The Confirmation program is a special opportunity for students in grades 7 & 8 to continue their faith journey as they learn more about Christianity in the Lutheran tradition. This program will prepare the students to affirm the vows that were made for them at their baptism. Karen Albert-McFadden, Director of Youth and Student Ministries, and Joyce Roy, long-time Confirmation volunteer, will be the primary moderators of the class. Pastor Horner and Pastor Brock will also be spending time with the students during this program.

Most classes will include teambuilding and engaging interactive activities that apply to youth today. Class attendance and participation are the most critical part of the program. There will be no quizzes. Youth will instead complete some written, thought-provoking application assignments.

Confirmation classes for the 2026-2027 school year will begin on Sunday, September 13, at 9:45 am.  If you have any questions prior to that date, or if you cannot attend, please email Karen so you can fill out the paperwork. Please use the form below to register your child prior to September 6. 

Special notes: Children who were in 8th grade last year will be confirmed on Sunday, October 25. Children who were in 7th grade last year are automatically enrolled in class this year (no need to register again.) Watch your emails for information about the upcoming year.
